The AX-V5 is our most-installed 5-axis VMC, designed for Tier-1 aerospace, medical implant, and high-precision mold shops. Cast iron base, direct-drive trunnion table, and 60-tool ATC — built to hold ±0.003 mm repeatability through a 24-month, two-shift production cycle.

What makes it different

  • Cast iron base & column. Resin-sand cast, stress-relieved. No concrete-polymer or welded fabrication — the thermal mass holds geometry through the day.
  • Direct-drive trunnion (A/C axis). No worm gear, no backlash. ±0.001° indexing accuracy, ±5 arc-sec repeatability.
  • 60-tool ATC, 2.4 s tool change. Cam-driven twin-arm. Pneumatic + hydraulic clamp, 25 kg max tool weight.
  • 12,000 RPM direct-drive spindle. ±0.003 mm repeatability. Optional 15,000 / 20,000 / 24,000 RPM.
  • Heidenhain linear scales on all 5 axes as standard — closed-loop position feedback, no half-pitch error from thermal drift.

Factory acceptance test (FAT) protocol

Every AX-V5 ships with a 100 h burn-in and a full geometric / dynamic test report. Standard ISO 230-2 / VDI 3441 / JIS B 6336 — third-party verification (SGS / TÜV) on request.

  • Geometric accuracy — squareness, parallelism, flatness to ISO 230-1.
  • Positioning & repeatability — bidirectional, full stroke, per ISO 230-2.
  • Ball-bar circularity — Renishaw QC20-W at 3 feedrates × 4 quadrants.
  • Laser interferometer — pitch / yaw / straightness / flatness on all axes.
  • Spindle run-out & thermal — cold start to thermal steady state.
  • 100 h burn-in — full-stroke program on a test part, final laser re-check.

Test report ships with the machine, in print and on USB. Repeat-test every 12 months on request.
